Last day for J.Crew's STAYWARM promo

Today J.Crew is offering an extra 25% off your purchase (no minimum) and free shipping with orders over $150 with the code STAYWARM.  A few things you should know about if you are planning to purchase anything today:

- Ebates is offering 8% cash back on J.Crew purchases today (much higher than their usual 2%).  This is a great opportunity if you're planning on doing a major holiday gift haul.  Ebates will pay you in either a check or via PayPal.

-The Factory is open today, even though you cannot get their from J.Crew's homepage.  Sneaky, sneaky!  They also have several new arrivals, as well as new additions to their clearance section.

Here are some things I picked up during this promo:

Lady lace popover in ivory - Originally $198, sale for $119.99, after promo: $89.99

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this sweater.  It's so delicate and feminine, yet cozy from the merino wool.  It's my first J.Crew Collection item (these are specialty items J.Crew offers at a higher price point) and while I'm not sure it's worth close to $200, I'm happy to pay less than half price.  I debated with navy and ivory, but the ivory is oh-so-pretty.  I'm going to save this one to wear for my birthday in a couple of weeks.

Men's Factory Walking Coat: Originally $198, sale for $148, $111 after the code.

My husband has a peacoat right now that he uses, but I think a more formal coat is appropriate for some of the nicer events we have been going to lately.  I hope this turns out well: it's being delivered today.

Shimmer bow sweater: $88, after code $66

I wanted to love this - I thought it would be a great way to incorporate some black and gold into my wardrobe without looking like a mascot (but, Go Dores!).  Unfortunately, I think it runs big - it was really unflattering in my usual S size - I probably could have sized down to a XS.  However, it was really itchy - something that other 'Crew bloggers have noted but I chose to ignore.  Bad decision.  I think it would have irritated winter skin - which stinks, because the bow in the back is so cute.  If J.Crew offered this in a solid color merino wool, I would definitely repurchase.  This will be heading back to J.Crew this afternoon.

J.Crew: Extra 30% off sale

J.Crew followed up last week's extra 25% off everything with a 30% off sale items code.

OURTREAT works on Factory items as well - but beware of the final sale!  Call customer service and verify measurements if you have to.  I've been burned on the final sale purchase more than once!  You can also head down to your local J.Crew, as this deal is in stores too.

Happy shopping!

I'm back! J.Crew 25% off sale through Monday

Sorry for the break in programming, everyone!  Life was a little out of hand for the past month: there was a new job, a dog that needed surgery, and visitors to our home every weekend.  While I made do with the time I had available, it was next to impossible to shop, nevermind blog about it.

Now I'm back!  I'm looking forward to an uneventful fall that includes cashmere sweaters and plenty of workouts at the Bar Method - has anyone else tried their new location in Nashville?  I am simply in love - I have never looked forward to exercise quite like this.  I bought an unlimited 45 days for $100 (hello, frugal) but I think I'm going to spring for unlimited months once this deal is up.  I can feel the changes to my body with just a few weeks of Bar Method classes, and I have a free gym at work if I ever get the urge to hop on a treadmill or elliptical.  The owner, Carrie, is so wonderful - and all of the instructors look great, so you know it's a good workout.

On to today's deal!

J.Crew is offering 25% off any purchase, and has lowered the free shipping threshold to $150.  Gotta love that! Use code: LOVEFALL.  This can also be used with Factory purchases, located at www.jcrew.com/factory.

This can be used in conjunction with the current select-sweater sale, which brings some cashmere items down to around $100.  This is great if you're not all about the final sale - I find that $70 is the best I can usually do for a cashmere sweater on final sale from J.Crew, so $100 with the option to return is not terrible.

Happy shopping!!

J.Crew Factory Store Coupon: 20% off $125 or more

Today J.Crew sent out an offer for an extra 20% off of any purchase of $125 or more, in store.  I believe this is stackable on top of any in-store discounts on specific items, as well as stackable with the student and educator discount of 15%.

Just print out this picture to get the bar code on the bottom, and shop away!  The offer begins on Thursday, and expires September 25.  Get your Labor Day shopping trip in with this coupon!

J.Crew Extra 30% off: ends tomorrow

J.Crew just sent out an e-mail to let customers know that their Extra 30% off code ends tomorrow - Thursday, August 25.

Here are my buys from the week - I'll have reviews up when they arrive this weekend!

Pin-slim patent belt in black $10.49 after the code.  I have a janky patent leather slim belt that came with a dress from the Gap (maybe?), and every time I wear it I remember how cheap it is.  This one will do the trick, and not a bad deal at $10.49.

Maddie pant in Italian cotton in beechwood $48.99 after the code, down from $295(!!!!).  This could be a hit or miss for me, but I'm hoping at the least I can have them altered if they don't fit perfectly on the first try.  I love the cuff.

Factory wool herringbone professor blazer $110.60 after the code.  I bought this in both colors, in the event that I love it in person, but I'm prepared to return if these don't look and feel fantastic.  These are not final sale because they are from the Factory section online.

Factory crewneck cardigan in ivory, $41.65 after the code.  This was a replacement purchase, as I had another ivory cardigan recently bite the dust, after discovering that a small hole had appeared at a seam and a button fell off.  Oh well, we had a good run - I think I bought it in '06?

Has anyone tried these items?  I'm especially nervous about the Maddie pant!
